Black History Month 2022 Wrap-up

As Black History Month has come to a close, we at CMA want to thank you for the engagement and attention that you have provided to our Black colleagues, clients, and friends over the last month. Considering the 2022 theme of Black Health & Wellness, CMA’s vision for this month has been to share resources and pose thought questions to help remove common barriers for Black health and wellness in the workplace.

Historically, Black history makers have made their names through their response to suffering and discrimination. As we continue to remove barriers to success for Black workers, we are opening up space to create legends that arise not despite their circumstances, but rather through their circumstances. We aim to open space that allows Black workers to showcase their skills, talents, and unique perspectives – and by elevating these voices, we can help create new legends that arise not despite their barriers, but because they were truly given the resources, tools, and support needed to thrive in their own selves.

As we move forward out of this month designed to celebrate the legacy of Black Americans, we encourage you to consider how your actions and the actions of your organization contribute to the creation of new legends who will lead the future of Black Americans at work. To maintain focus throughout the year, we encourage you to check out the following additional resources:
