Liam Ryan, Ph.D.
“I have an ability to provide feedback that allows people to understand their strengths and development areas in light of their personal experiences, while quickly building trust with others by connecting with people.”
Liam has been instrumental in developing and implementing a proprietary online 360° assessment for CMA. He also designed, developed, and instituted a talent management audit that provides an organization with an assessment of its ability to recruit, select, train, motivate, and retain high performers. He is passionate about helping clients deeply understand the talent within their organizations, and he has contributed at both an individual and strategic level within CMA.
Prior to joining CMA, Liam assisted a county government assessment center with candidate evaluation for various county positions, conducted a validation study of coursework relative to effectiveness in annual exams for a professional college, completed a meta-analysis of work-related behaviors and attitudes and their effect on individual performance, and participated in a video-based ethical decision-making experiment.
Liam earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Psychology, a Master of Science with distinction in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Saint Louis University. His dissertation focused on individuals’ capacity to adapt to unfamiliar situations and the support that leaders provide for their employees to be more adaptive.
In his free time, Liam enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, exercising, sand volleyball, playing guitar, and spending time with his energetic dog.
