Jon Hinrichs, Ph.D.
Jon Hinrichs is a trusted leadership coach who helps executives see what truly drives behavior and change for lasting impact. As Vice President at CMA Global, he leads the coaching practice and guides a team of consultants who support leaders across industries, from healthcare and professional sports to construction and family-owned businesses.
Known as the “doctor’s doctor,” Jon brings deep psychological insight to every conversation. He goes beyond surface-level advice to uncover the patterns, pressures, and beliefs that shape leadership behavior. His coaching style is warm yet direct. Telling the truth with empathy and creating accountability while maintaining trust.
Jon’s approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory and informed by decades of clinical and organizational experience. Before joining CMA Global, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at one of the world’s leading psychiatric hospitals for executives and public figures. His research and peer-reviewed publications explore narcissism, personality dynamics, and the influence of early experiences on leadership.

A licensed clinical psychologist, Jon holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. As well as a member of the Missouri Psychological Association.
Outside of work, Jon finds purpose in family and community. He’s a dedicated father of two boys, a proud husband to a neuropsychologist at Washington University, and an active member of his church. When he’s not coaching executives, you might find him on the golf course or exploring classic cars at Fast Lane Showroom.
