Irelan Fricke, M.S.

“I am dedicated to aiding in reducing suffering and threats to human psychological health and well-being across the individual, community, and systems levels.”

Irelan is a doctoral student in the clinical psychology Ph.D. program at Saint Louis University and is originally from Denver, Colorado. She received her B.A. in Psychology at Siena College in 2022 with minors in biology and human resources development as well as a certificate in community development. Her undergraduate research focused on building community development partnerships with nonprofit organizations serving individuals with substance use disorders, developmental delays, complex learning disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Irelan served two terms in the AmeriCorps VISTA Program conducting community engaged participatory action research.

Irelan’s current research interests are in clinical community psychology, community and systems level intervention, and religion and mental health. Her master’s thesis research, currently in progress, evaluated the effectiveness of a community-based mental health intervention program for adults living with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Irelan also has a passion for teaching and served as the instructor of record for the Advanced Research Methods and Statistics lab undergraduate psychology capstone course at Saint Louis University. She values integrating her knowledge base and experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator with her consulting work.

In her free time, Irelan enjoys taking yoga classes, being involved in her church, and spending time with her family.
