Dr. Eurich’s TEDx talks have been viewed more than seven million times. One in particular that the CMA team wishes to highlight is on how to increase your self-awareness. Though why would you want to increase your self-awareness? Well, self-aware individuals tend to perform better at work, have stronger relationships, make smarter decisions, are better leaders, are more confident, and are better communicators. Fortunately, self-awareness is a skill that can be developed.

In the below video, Dr. Eurich highlights one quick and simple way to increase your self-awareness.

According to Dr. Eurich, thinking about yourself isn’t the same as knowing yourself. To improve your self-awareness, reflect on how you are reflecting. We tend to focus much on asking ourselves why as opposed to what. However, asking why creates alternative facts and leads to negative outcomes. As an alternative, asking what which will start you on your journey to a happier and more fulfilling life.
