Shirley Godwin, M.S.

“The heart of Industrial Organizational Psychology is research and its impact in the workplace is profound. It always brings theory and research to the table in offering recommendations that are utilized in critical decision making and improving the well-being of organizations and its people. I am proud to be part of a field organizations turn to for strategic planning, improving employee satisfaction,  investigating complex issues, designing change initiatives and bringing alignment to internal processes.”

Shirley is an agile and strategic I-O psychology practitioner deeply committed to human capital development and the positive transformation of organizations. She has earned a master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from The University of Georgia, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Creighton University and is a SHRM Certified Professional. Prior to her time at CMA, Shirley was a manager of a retail company and played an integral role in the creation of a competency model for a client in the hotel industry based in South Africa. She is a strong critical thinker and problem solver who leads authentically and is guided by ethics, principles and a determination to support others. She is also passionate about accountability, relationship building, change management and empowering leaders with the knowledge and tools they need in making the best decisions.

In her free time, Shirley loves to spend quality time with family and friends, binge watch shows on Netflix, dance and relax with a nice bowl of ice cream or a cup of tea.
